The executive king room with balcony is nice, with a lovely view, though it looked much bigger in the photos. It’s still a little larger than an average king room, and I’d absolutely stay here again, in fact I’ll make a point of it. The staff are wonderful and go out of their way to be kind and helpful. It’s a three minute walk to the heart of Thao Dien. For shopping or wilder nightlife in D1, it’s 15 minutes by Grab. I’d avoid taxis and stick with the Grab app wherever possible. Lovely place.

Breakfast at Núc was a highlight for me. It was simple, clean, and made with good ingredients, with natural flavors that weren’t over-seasoned. The pool is huge, and the gym has everything you need. After the drive, the fresh coconut welcome drink was a lovely surprise, and the staff were genuinely friendly. Amanaki Thảo Điền has Vietnamese art, handcrafted furniture, and thoughtful details throughout, giving it a warm, artistic feel. I enjoyed that same homey vibe in the room. It’s calm and beautifully designed, with plenty of character. I’d happily stay again.

The room has a little kitchen, a very good bathroom, and a rain shower with strong pressure. The gym is well equipped too. The hotel offers great value for money and feels spacious throughout. From the outside it looks like a modern building, while the lobby, rooms, and gym have a classic setup with a modern touch.

The hospitality was outstanding. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and good at solving problems. Bobby went especially far out of his way to make sure we had an incredible experience, and that personal touch is priceless. We loved the hotel’s decor and vibe from the moment we walked into this warm, beautiful place. It was an awesome starting point for our adventures around Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City, and District 2. It’s close to Landmark 81 and delicious restaurants, a must when you’re in District 2.

The hotel has its own character, and so does its service. It’s a nice, unique place with vintage decorations, but in my experience it didn’t meet a four star standard. When staff found period blood on a bedsheet, they shouted about it across the lobby, with at least three male strangers nearby. I felt the conversation should have been handled privately and quickly. In hotels in Japan, HK, and mainland China, they would change the sheet privately, without charging a fine. I can understand charging some amount, since cleaning fees are usually part of what we pay, but the way this was handled left the girl humiliated over a natural bodily cycle. That kind of service isn’t okay at a four star hotel. Room cleaning also involved banging on the door very early, without seeming to check professionally whether anyone was inside. In the executive room, the desk was still dusty, the slippers were dirty, and no toothbrushes had been prepared. Sustainability isn’t an excuse for poor service when the hotel rates itself four stars. Japanese hotels may not leave toothbrushes in the room either, but you can ask reception for one free if needed. Don’t tell me the money is being donated to NGOs. You could use the money we already paid for the room. The hotel is in a nice spot, wasn’t noisy at night during our stay, and has some cool areas nearby that you can walk to.
