There’s a sign at the building entrance saying short-term rentals are prohibited. Be alert: don’t book Refined Saigon – Rivergate Apartment or other accommodation in that complex through Booking.com or any other platform. They’re known for “canceling” reservations when guests arrive and pressuring them to take much more expensive alternatives. We refused an option that cost three times our original booking, and they then gave our phone number to a third party, who called us. Now they’re trying to charge a no-show fee and have prevented us from leaving a review on Booking.Com. Scam alert!

I can confirm the earlier reviews. They canceled at the very last moment on the same day, while keeping in touch with us and knowing we were on our way and had arrived at the spot. Communication was poor too: they gave no clear details about check-in or leaving luggage at the spot.

This is a scam. As soon as we said we’d arrived to check in, they canceled our booking. We weren’t the only ones, and according to tripadvisor, it’s a common practice.

Our reservation was canceled as we were arriving. I later saw similar reports on TripAdvisor, so it seems this happened to others too. This feels like a scam. Don’t book here.

Clean, really nice, and the people were polite. Loved it.
