The staff were so helpful and explained everything we needed to know. A great base for our Hoi An adventure.

You can walk to just about everything you'd want to see in Hoi An from this charming, quaint little boutique hotel. The wifi is fast, bikes are available to rent, and breakfast is generous. They'll even make an omelette if you ask.

The staff were so nice, and the breakfast was out of this world. The hotel is tidy and clean, and its whole look fits the town so well, it feels like stepping back to Vietnam in the 30s. It's about a 10-minute walk to the ancient town and around 20 minutes to the japanese bridge, both very walkable. They also offer free bikes. Our room had a lovely balcony, and the bathroom had a bathtub with salts for a long, relaxing soak. The bed was a little hard, but it wasn't a real problem. I'd recommend it, and even if you book somewhere else, stop by to see the place and take a few pictures.

We were there in early December 2018, during a very wet week in Hoi An. The historic old town is within walking distance, and the hotel's buildings suit the character of this ancient, well-preserved area. Our room, just off the garden across from the restaurant, had a veranda and a large bed. The walk-in shower had pebbles in its tray. There's also a pool squeezed between the hotel entrance and restaurant, but nobody used it all week, even those sitting by it. Maybe it's too cramped. The changing area is well below what you'd expect from a hotel like this. The garden and veranda had big plants and seats, but the space felt cramped, untidy, and not relaxing. The whole garden could use a new design. The Christmas decorations were embarrassing, so they might as well not bother. The buildings also look like they need maintenance. It all feels like a business without proper leadership. The staff are capable, but seem miserable and don't make guests feel welcome. People make a place, and I don't think staff here are managed or supported much. That's unusual for Vietnam, where service is often so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was modest, with a buffet, fresh juices made on request, and an omelette station. The rain didn't help the atmosphere, but the cheap plastic sheeting meant to keep it out felt more like camping. The buildings have character, but the hotel lacks charm and good service. With so many options in town, I don't see a real reason to stay here.

Free bikes are the best way to get around, and the old town, street food, and coffee nearby are all an easy walk. This hotel really is a gem, a little oasis in a busy town. The pool is lovely and well kept, and the breakfast mixes European and Asian food. The omelettes alone are worth it. The rooms are fine, with a comfortable bed and clean sheets changed daily. I'd recommend it to anyone.
