Hoi An Historic Hotel

Breakfast had an amazing spread, the bed was super comfy, and the air conditioning worked really well. Everyone on staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, though it took us a little figuring out how to use the shower without flooding the bathroom. The pool was as warm as a bath whenever we went in. I guess a large pool out in direct sun with no shade is going to heat up. A lovely choice for families or solo travelers.

It’s a beautiful historic style hotel, with a clean, nice room and an excellent location within walking distance of everything. The first building has no elevator, which made getting around with a stroller and kids difficult, and neighborhood music was loud at night. Apart from that, the service was excellent. Next time I’ll ask for the quieter new building at the back, which has an elevator.

Breakfast was a real treat, served beneath mature oak trees amid all the open green space. This is the only hotel right at the entrance to Hoi An Old Town with such large grounds and mature trees, even compared with the hotels and resorts we stayed at in Da nang city center. The room was bright and spacious, simply finished, with high ceilings, a TV ready for Netflix and YouTube, and a walk-in shower. We appreciated the refillable carafes of drinking water. The grand entrance drive has fountains, and reception were warm and accommodating, offering welcome drinks while we waited for the room. Since it’s a historic hotel, some areas do look dated. Ms. Ly at reception deserves a special mention for overseeing the Pottery Experience, a unique activity that made the stay memorable. We’ll definitely return.

All the staff were friendly and helpful, and Nguyen Hoang Bar Man went out of his way to be kind and helpful to us. We loved the spa package with Tam and Thuong so much, it lasted three hours and was really relaxing, that we booked another pamper package two days later. Thanks so much to the spa team!
