Edit: No, I don't prefer free amenities. During my 7-day stay, I got water bottles only twice. Then I was charged for taking a bottle from the fridge in the middle of the night because there was no drinking water in the room. If you don't want to clean daily, I understand, but you still need to provide drinking water. Put a bottle holder on the door if you don't want to enter the room. The privacy explanation is just a poor excuse. I'm lowering my rating to 1 because of the attitude toward genuine feedback. I stayed for a week. If all you need is a budget room in a good location, it's decent value. The room itself was good for the price, which matters most to me. But breakfast quality should improve, or they shouldn't include it even for free, and the staff were inattentive no matter how many guests were there. Water should be supplied for the whole stay on day one, since rooms aren't cleaned and water isn't refilled daily unless you ask. Sometimes you forget, don't want to call repeatedly, or need it in the middle of the night. I was hassled for taking a bottle from the fridge while rushing to the airport.

The hotel is conveniently close to amenities, but breakfast had a limited selection and, like most hotels, ended at 930am. Housekeeping runs daily from around 830am or 930am, I can't remember exactly, until 330pm, so plan around it if you don't want to be disturbed or miss the bed being made. The room felt dark to us, especially the windowless one. The dark mahogany furniture and parquet flooring didn't work well together for us, even though everything was clean. The small toilet, on the other hand, looked nice and posh thanks to its lighting and tiles.

Booking through agoda was my worst hotel experience. The room was a complete downgrade from what the listing showed, and it looked very old. The AC was slow, and the bathroom really shocked me: small, moldy and dirty, with no shower separation and no space around the sink. It was much worse than what I had booked. I can't believe the hotel has a good Google rating.

Breakfast was a highlight, with a great choice of local and international dishes. The location was handy too: we could walk to the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ben Thanh Market, and, with a longer stroll, Saigon Centre Mall. Wi-Fi caused us no trouble, which made it easy to plan our days and stay connected. They also offer dry cleaning, though I didn't check the price. We had a Deluxe Twin Room with no window. I was a little worried about missing natural light at first, but it didn't matter much since we spent most of our time out exploring. The room was clean and looked after, and housekeeping regularly replaced the complimentary bottled water and coffee. A welcome surprise was the bubble tea at check-in after our 45-minute Grab ride from the airport.

The rooms were decent and the location excellent, but cockroaches were a serious problem. During our 2N stay, I personally killed several and many others got away. I told reception on the first day, and they apologized and said they'd handle the cleaning, but I didn't see any improvement. We were visiting as a family, and the other rooms we'd booked had the same issue.
