Dan’s Wash & Stay at 185/10 Pham Ngu Lao made laundry easy: it’s self-service, open 24 hours, and costs 30K per load. The machines were simple to use, and the place was clean, so I didn’t have to waste time waiting around. I enjoyed staying near the backpacker area in District 1 too. Restaurants and cafés were all within walking distance.

The mashed potato portion was very, very small, and the chicken we ordered with it was still raw in places. Then they charged extra for swapping the fries for mashed potato. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

We chose this restaurant after finding the other place we’d planned to try completely empty. It was busy here, which seemed like a good sign, and the food turned out fresh, full of flavour, and quite affordable. I’d go back. Just to be clear, my friend and I didn’t stay at the hotel, so I can’t rate the rooms.

The restaurant deals posted outside caught my eye, so I gave it a try. The staff were friendly and helped me decide what to order. The food was cheap and delicious, and the restaurant was nicely decorated. I didn’t stay at the hotel, but I’m very happy to recommend the restaurant.

We come here every day for the food. There’s a big selection of both vegetarian and meat dishes, the prices are affordable, and the service is friendly. It’s also a nice change from the busy, noisy main street. We haven’t tried the hotel, but might next time.
