Babylon Serviced Apartment

I stayed here for four months, from January to May. The apartment itself was very nice, and the location was the only thing I really liked. The receptionist was also very nice and helpful, but she seemed to be the only person willing to help. For the price, I expected a lot more, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The noise was constant because the walls are thin. Work on the apartments and banging started around 8 a.m., and even a chair being moved sounded like it was in my room. Parking was another daily hassle. There’s a gaming shop about 15 feet from Kelly’s, and its motorbikes are parked under the area where you keep yours, so I often had to struggle to get my bike out or find a spot. The young man who worked there would watch from his cot while using his phone, and had a bad attitude. The cot was also right in front of the stairs down to the parking area, so we had to step over him while he ignored us. He didn’t respond when we told him we were having trouble finding parking. Coming back late, I practically had to bang on the metal door to get in. Housekeeping was supposed to clean the room once a week if you were lucky. If the cleaner didn’t get to it, someone might just wipe the floor a little, and do it badly, to make it look cleaned.

It’s a decent budget apartment in the center of town. Housekeeping comes twice a week to clean and change the linens, though there aren’t many other services.

The property manager was friendly, and the rates were reasonable. It’s a clean, modern building tucked into one of the city’s lanes, with plenty of amenities nearby and a central location.

The service was really bad, and the actual conditions were nothing like the ads. Staff always seemed to be looking for tips. When we said we didn’t want to change rooms after all, they suddenly hung up on us.
