Luong Huu Khanh Homestay - Centre District 1

We had enough space for our group of three, with comfortable beds, good air conditioning, and a separate shower that felt like a little oasis. It's a cute apartment in a good spot: not right in the middle of everything, but getting around the city was easy, and there's a wonderful little coffee shop downstairs. Self check-in meant we didn't see the hosts during our four-night stay, but they were easy to reach with questions. We'd recommend this homestay.

For a 12-night stay in HCM City, this was great value for a homestay in District 1, right in the city center. It was easy to get around, and the host was very helpful. The room and shower were spacious and matched the pictures perfectly, and I was glad to have a large fridge. The only small downside was that the sheet, duvet, and pillow covers were three different shades of green, but it wasn't a big deal.

The room was spacious, the Wi-Fi and location were great, and the coffee shop downstairs was cute. The balcony was the highlight, with a clean outside shower at a great temperature, a nice place to sit and relax, and a cooker with pots, pans, and everything needed to cook. There was another shower inside the bathroom too. We felt safe because you need a code to get through the electronic gate to the apartments. The room floor was really dirty. After showering barefoot, our feet turned black, even in white socks, so we stuck to our Crocs. It needs a proper mop, and the mat outside the shower was dirty and needs replacing. There were no staff or owners around, except when the coffee shop was open during the week.

The floor tiles were broken, water leaked from the bathroom shower, and only one tap worked, even after we waited 40 minutes past check-in time. The room was in very bad shape, and the real place didn't match the website pictures at all. NOT RECOMMENDED.
