9 Hostel And Suites

The dorm was small and full of suitcases that didn’t seem to belong to anyone. The bed was uncomfortable, and the room smelled so bad that I couldn’t get used to it even after several hours. It was humid with no ventilation, and there was mold all over the walls. If you’re on the top bunk, you’re sleeping very close to it. It was an unpleasant stay, and I moved to another hostel with two nights still left. I really wouldn’t recommend booking this one, even if the location seems convenient.

I’m reviewing the hostel room and bathroom, not the hotel rooms. The dorm felt like a random, dark storage room on the first floor with beds added for extra income. There was no hostel atmosphere, and everything seemed old and uncared for. The curtains wouldn’t close all the way. The shared mixed-gender bathrooms were on the first floor, the shower doors didn’t lock, and things weren’t very clean. You can get better, proper hostels in the city for the same price. This dorm feels like a side project.

The female dorm was good enough to stay in, and the AC was okay. The bathroom door didn’t lock, which was very disappointing. The rooftop was fine during the day, but at night there were lots of rats, which was disgusting. There’s a small balcony-like area up there too, but it’s poorly maintained and dangerous to leave that way. The reception staff should be friendlier, more polite, and more welcoming. I hope they’re willing to improve and become more service minded.

I’ve really enjoyed my 3.5 months here. It’s good value for the cost, the location is ideal for everything I need, and the staff are absolutely wonderful. I’d easily recommend this hostel and would return if I were in the area again.
