Boss Palace Hotel

We came back for a second stay because of the service and room quality. Our room was a spacious, modern two-bedroom with two queen beds, an ensuite bathroom with air conditioning, a vanity area, and free Wi-Fi. The receptionists, security guards, and cleaners were all warm and generous, always going out of their way to help. Anything we asked for was handled right away.

We spent two days here and had a good stay. The place had a nice vibe, the staff were helpful and well behaved, and the rooms were a good size. Service was very good too. I'd recommend it for a budget-friendly stay.

The man at the door was always there to open the car door and carry our things up more than 12 steps to the foyer. But this was my first time in Vietnam, and I was disappointed with the place. There was just one small window facing the pub next door. The bath was higher than usual, and we had to climb into it to shower, which wasn't suitable for our ages, 74 and 73. The front desk staff couldn't understand what we were asking, so language was a problem. We've learned that having a translator on our phone is a must. The pink thongs were provided as room slippers, but we didn't touch them.

I booked through Agoda after seeing the attractive photos and description, but the room was completely different from what was shown. It was outdated, poorly maintained, and clearly hadn't been renovated as advertised. Many lights were broken or didn't work, which made the place feel even more neglected. It was a huge disappointment and felt like bait-and-switch. They also charged for water without listing a price or giving us any warning. It felt like they made the price up on the spot. The listing doesn't match the actual condition of the hotel, and I strongly advise others to avoid it.
