Botanic House Saigon

I travel often, and this is the best homestay I’ve stayed in. The quiet, spacious room made it easy to relax. I’d stay again, 10/10.

The location worked really well for us, with lots of central spots and cafes just a short walk away. The entrance is down an alley, and it stayed fairly quiet for the area, though nearby construction started in the morning. The hosts were very nice, and we also loved the two cute, friendly cats. The rooms looked newer and fancier in the photos, but ours was clean and comfortable, and we had a very nice stay.

We spent three days in HCMC starting April 6 and stayed at this lovely little homestay. For 800k VND a night, we got a cozy room with two double beds and a wall-sized window that let in plenty of daylight. It was new, clean, and tidy when we arrived, though there were a couple of small issues: the AC leaked a little and the window wouldn’t lock properly. The price was much lower than the other places we considered. It’s in central District 1, so Bui Vien, Nguyen Hue Walking Street, Independence Palace, and HCMC Museum of Fine Arts are walkable or a short taxi ride away.

We chose Botanic House for its budget-friendly rates and convenient spot near markets and plenty of places to eat. Being able to step out and explore Saigon’s local food and lively streets made the stay feel special, and the value was better than we expected. The rooms were clean, well equipped, and nicely decorated, with a calm, comfortable feel after a day out. Our host was helpful and understanding throughout, and their local suggestions gave our time in the city a personal touch. Botanic House made for a comfortable and affordable stay, and I’d recommend it to travelers who want to enjoy Saigon without spending too much.
