Condodo Homestay

I chose this hostel after finding a really cheap rate, 3 usd per night in a common room. I’d read other people’s reviews, but was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The room and bedsheets were clean, which matters to most people, you know. The staff were good, and the location was good too. Some people write that they found this hostel after staying in another one, but I made the right choice from the start. It’s a very nice place, and I recommend it. Reception can arrange tours, and the place was clean. It’s a cheap, basic hostel or hotel within easy walking distance of the main tourist spots. Best of all, the noise from the busy walking street didn’t carry here, so I could get a decent night’s sleep.

Of the five hostels I stayed in during my time in Ho Chi minh city, Condodo was the best for me. It was affordable and really relaxing, and I liked the location. The management and staff were very polite and well educated.

I had a really bad experience. There was nobody at the desk to check me in, so I waited downstairs. Then they called to say the hostel was full, even though I had booked. They sent me to another hostel, but the address was wrong, and once I finally got there I was told to wait two hours because the rooms weren’t ready. Very poor service.
