Cozy Hotel HCM

The repeated power cuts every night were unacceptable. The walls are thin, so we could hear staff rushing around to fix things, but the outages kept happening. It was extremely disruptive, especially at night. The rooms were extremely dirty, and toiletries listed on booking.com weren’t provided. The cheap rates might make those issues somewhat tolerable, but there are other places at the same price with much cleaner rooms and reliable power. I wouldn’t recommend this one. I’ve attached a random photo of a mask covering the lamp, left by who knows how many stays ago.

The staff were polite and helpful, and when I said I didn’t want a room at the back, they moved me without charging extra. I’d asked for an upgrade, but they simply changed the room for free. For the price we paid, you can’t go wrong. The location was decent, and Grab, which is like Uber, was really cheap when we needed a taxi. Thanks!

It’s a quiet, pleasant area with a local feel, though not right in the city center. The hotel is basic and not perfectly clean, but that wasn’t much of an issue for me as a solo male traveler. Rooms are decent for the money, with a good shower, air conditioning and internet. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is my second stay, and I’ll probably come back to Saigon next time too.

The location is great and the staff are friendly, though their English isn’t great. The room had no window, despite what was promised, and repeated requests for a fan went nowhere. I’d stay again if they brought a fan or gave me the room with a window that I paid extra for.
