Duc Minh Hotel

The room had useful basics, including a comfortable bed, kettle, AC and mini fridge, and they brought drinking water each day. It was also spacious, though clearly aging, and finding an outlet by the bed was difficult. The curtains let in the morning sun, so the room got bright early. Noise was a frequent problem. The nearby school was often loud in the morning, and inside the hotel I heard people talking loudly, doors slamming and the elevator. In the bathroom, the shower had no door, so water spread across the whole room and toilet area. There was no way to mop it up, which made using the bathroom uncomfortable. The location was decent, but not near the tourist sights, so I needed Grab to get around. The price was affordable enough to make it technically worthwhile, but next time in Ho Chi Minh City I'd probably look elsewhere. There may be hotels with better conditions for a similar price.

There’s free Wi-Fi, and the location makes everyday errands easy: supermarkets, a pharmacy, banks, street food, and buses are all nearby. The shower stall could use an upgrade, but the place covers what you need and feels like great value.

It was really convenient for my volunteering.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the airport was close by. Breakfast was good too.
