Mingles Bar, right across from the property, was a highlight for us. It’s a speakeasy with great craft beer, and Da Lat Berry is worth trying. We also found plenty of restaurants and markets nearby. The location made it easy to walk to the main tourist spots, while the place itself was surprisingly quiet despite being close to Bui Vien. Our room was spotless and had what we needed, including toiletries, a hairdryer, ironing facilities, and basic cooking supplies. Both Wi-Fi networks were very fast, up to 100 Mbps. The staff were kind and quick to help with anything we needed, and the arrival instructions came well before check-in. We had a wonderful stay, and the service felt high quality for such an affordable price.

The front office women were warm, polite, and accommodating the whole time, and the location is very convenient. The hotel itself is decent at best, with basic but acceptable facilities. Still, our experience with the male manager overshadowed those positives. When there was a problem with our room key, he made assumptions before hearing us out, spoke aggressively, and seemed emotional. He implied we were at fault. Once it became clear he was wrong, he neither acknowledged it nor apologized or tried to calm things down. His response felt dismissive and borderline discriminatory. My partner and I also work at a hotel abroad, so we know managers should show composure, professionalism, and accountability. Here, criticism wasn't welcomed, and our concerns came across as an inconvenience instead of something to resolve. One bad interaction with management can affect the whole stay. I hope they take criticism seriously for the good of the business, rather than getting defensive and trying to make a point. The responses to other negative reviews show what I mean.

The two women at reception were lovely, and the hot water in the bathroom worked especially well. The location is handy for popular places, the basic amenities were provided, and a nearby convenience store had any other essentials we needed. Apart from one incident, the room was normal. We found an insect in my makeup pouch, which I don't take outside. The pouch had been left by the flower vase near the bed's headboard, so we think it may have come from there. One night, we accidentally left our keys inside the room. We accept that was our mistake, and around 9:30 PM we rang the bell and called the number provided, as instructed. The male staff member who came spoke tensely and emotionally, stressing he wasn't always on site. Before hearing us, he said he “guarantees” we'd lost the key. We explained it was inside and housekeeping may have locked the door, but he didn't listen and just opened it. When we showed him the keys inside, he said nothing. I work in hospitality and was surprised by how this was handled. Patience, clear communication, and flexibility matter when helping guests, and this interaction took away from many of the good parts of our stay. I hope this is useful feedback for improvement, not an attempt to cause harm. Thank you for accommodating us through the end of our stay.

We had confirmed bookings for three rooms, but the hotel wouldn't let us leave our luggage in the lobby briefly while we went to lunch. That's a basic service most hotels offer. The manager's text response made it worse: “If you want, you can cancel the booking, I don’t care.” It was rude and completely unprofessional. Getting there was also unpleasant. The roads nearby are narrow, dirty, and unhygienic, and we had to carry our bags for nearly 500 meters through filthy drainage water. The location was extremely inconvenient, and the lack of basic hospitality and the manager's attitude ruined the experience. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

For my one-night solo trip to Ho Chi Minh City, this hostel was a great fit. I arrived around 8-9 p.m., so I emailed ahead. They replied quickly with clear directions, which reassured me I'd find the place and someone would be there with my key. From here it's easy to get to Ben Thanh Market, the Opera House, Saigon Centre, and Apartment Café, and there are places to eat and a laundry shop close by. The receptionist was so friendly and helpful. I forgot to get her name, but she was lovely. My first-floor room was clean and comfortable for one person, with a little pantry, a hairdryer, and an iron. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
