The pool was really nice, and the location worked well for me. I stayed at the Equatorial hotel for about a week and had a fabulous experience. The hotel was very clean, breakfast had lots of options, and they delivered a little chocolate to my room at night. The staff were very kind and the service was excellent. I did have some trouble arranging the taxi pickup when I arrived, but the concierge apologized and offered to take me back to the airport free of charge. I’d definitely come again.

Our rooms were a great size, and the hotel is in a very accessible part of the city. The included buffet breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choices for all types of travellers. We also appreciated being able to check out late on the day we left Vietnam. We booked a massage at the hotel’s spa and wellness facility. Kevin made us feel welcome when we arrived, and Mary and Helen were very good masseurs. They eased the aches and pains we’d picked up over two weeks of travel. We’d highly recommend using the spa and wellness facility during your stay.

The room felt modern and roomy, and breakfast had a great selection. The bánh mì was especially good, definitely worth trying. Ms Tayce Nguyen led a friendly, responsive staff who helped with what we needed. I’d recommend Equatorial to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City.

We had a great two-night stay. Kevin, David and Nelly were so attentive at the buffet, and Vincent and Dante put in a lot of effort at the pool bar to make things enjoyable. The room and pool were both great, and the staff were superb. Hope we get to meet again.

The limited vegetarian choices at breakfast were one disappointment, and we also felt we were treated disrespectfully in a way that seemed racially biased toward our ethnicity. The stay began well but ended badly at checkout: we were charged for a glass we hadn’t broken, even though staff had said the letter about it was “for information only.” When we questioned the charge, the manager was rude and dismissive. We were traveling with a baby and would have reported a broken glass right away for safety. Very disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
