G8 Diamond Hotel Saigon

The reception ladies were especially warm and welcoming, and the staff were the best part of my stay. I’d give them 10 stars if I could. The location was great, close to almost everything, though I doubt there’s free parking nearby. I didn’t try breakfast, so can’t comment on that. The hotel was described as new, but the old, dirty hallway carpets and bedroom floors didn’t look new. There was no hot water in the shower during my stay. The explanations ranged from a solar system failure to rain and too many people showering at once, but I still had only cold water, and every bath was a nightmare. The hotel was also described as having several pools, but I didn’t see any working pools. When I asked at reception, a staff member said they only had a jacuzzi. They may give two free soft drinks, bottled waters, and beers per day, but I don’t drink soft drinks or beer, so I can’t say for sure. One night, thirsty, I called reception to ask for bottled water. The man said I’d have to buy it. Buying it wouldn’t normally be an issue since it costs less than a dollar, but the uncaring way he said it didn’t feel hospitable.

The staff were super friendly. The room was a bit old but well maintained, and the minibar is free.

Getting to nearby attractions and places to eat was easy thanks to the convenient location. The staff were always friendly and ready to help with a smile. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, so relaxing after a long day was easy. We had an excellent stay at G8 Hotel and would recommend it to anyone wanting a pleasant, hassle-free visit.

The room overlooking the park across the street was wonderful, and the location was excellent. Thanks to the staff for such lovely service. I encourage others to book here.
