Gemini Saigon Hotel

The hotel arranged a taxi to collect me from HCM Airport when I arrived on 18th Sept. Minh, the hotel manager, met me and was very helpful, with lots of information about tours in HCMC. My room was clean and refreshing, with a King size bed, tv, kitchen sink, a kettle for making tea, and a large bathroom with a shower. It also had a street view. I’d definitely recommend it. I’m visiting the Ho Chi Minh Tunnels tomorrow. Michael from Galway Ireland 🇮🇪❤️🇻🇳

The room on the 5th floor was roomy and nice, with a good bed, balcony, and good aircon, which you need in Vietnam heat. We’ve stayed here before and were very satisfied, but a few things this time weren’t up to the usual standard. The painted glass panel in our door let light in from the hallway and the room opposite. We also had a small ant problem on the kitchen bench, but nothing to wipe it down with. The room wasn’t cleaned even though we put the sign out, and we came back to an uncleaned room twice. The main issue was the bins not being emptied, so we had to ask for that. At checkout the owner rushed over and grabbed the room key without a hello or asking how the stay was. We thought that was rude, and unfortunately we’ll look elsewhere next time.

Good location 💯😊. Staff were helpful. Bear bar is downstairs. Pay in cash to avoid the 2 to 5% card surcharge. There’s street noise from live music.

When we showed up to check in, our room wasn’t available because, apparently, the previous guest hadn’t checked out. They offered to move us to a different room only if we paid for an upgrade. We turned that down since the issue was on their end. We cancelled and left, and they didn’t even apologize.
