Hien Lam Hotel

There's plenty nearby, with cafes and restaurants offering delicious, nutritious food at affordable prices and good value. The hotel is in the center of Go Vap, near the airport, in a safe area with wide roads and lots of parking.

I used to stay here often because it was convenient and clean, and there was an essential oil diffuser in the room to make it smell nice. But after this happened, I never went back. I still have the bill, though it's faded after all this time :) I would have posted it otherwise to show they charged an extra day's rate for being one minute late. The hotel hid my review at the time, and I only found it now. A guest checked out one minute late and was charged for another overnight stay. They said they couldn't change the bill because it had already been printed. Other hotels charge an extra day's rate for a 6 PM checkout, but this one uses 5 PM. I didn't pay attention to the rules, so okay, that part was my fault. But one minute is just the time it takes to get downstairs, and staff checked the security cameras and could clearly see that. They could have let it go, but it felt like they just wanted extra money. I was due to check out at 4:30 PM, but since I stayed overnight and there was a lot of trash, I cleaned it myself to save the cleaning staff. In the end, being considerate cost me extra.

I've stayed here many times, but this visit was truly awful. The staff had a terrible attitude and there were problems with the room. I switched to a cheaper room, but they still charged the original price. They left my belongings in the other room and said they probably cleaned up without seeing them. Even after they found my things, they didn't keep them. Then they worked out the bill and charged extra, saying they'd underestimated the cost. Terrible, absolutely terrible. They should stop doing business altogether.

For 300k VND, I expected better than a filthy room that looked like a rat's nest. The sheets and blankets were yellow with stains. Save your money and avoid this hotel.
