Hotel Cat Tien Sa

The bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. For one night, the price felt fair, though the place is dated and the bathroom could use renovation.

The one good part was the motorcycle parking, along with the garage guard, who was very friendly and helpful. The rest was bad enough that I wouldn’t stay again even for free. There are nicer places at a similar price. Their Agoda page claims there are smart TVs and garden views, but neither was there. I arrived at 10 p.m., well after check-in time, and somehow my room still wasn’t ready. The Wi-Fi was terrible. When I told reception, they said they’d “check the connection” and then did nothing. The man even offered the password for the hotel next door, but its signal was too weak. The body wash bottle was half full of water, with a few bubbles left from what seemed to be a used bottle. When I asked for a replacement, the male housekeeper brought an unmarked bottle with a very pungent smell. I’m glad I didn’t use it on myself; it might have been some kind of floor cleaner.

We were there for just one night and it was okay. The room was spacious and fairly clean, though the bed was very hard.

I’ve enjoyed my stay and am still enjoying it. It’s been quite an experience, and I’d recommend this affordable, good hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay.
