The price and location are good, but unless you’re traveling on the absolute lowest budget, I’d find somewhere better. This may be the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. There was chewing gum around the room, along with dead bugs, crumbs, and dust. The TV was smashed, and someone had left a used condom in the bin. My first room had mold all over the ceiling, and the room was full of mosquitoes with no net.

Anh Hong Hotel is conveniently located about 10 minutes from HCM City Airport, with food places and shopping marts nearby. I had a great stay and would definitely recommend it! 👍🏨✈️ #AnhHongHotel #Travel #Convenience

They double-booked us, then tried to put us in another hotel with a worse room than the one we’d booked. This seems to be a common scam in Vietnam...

We found a genuinely nice place at a good price, and the room was very good. I’m grateful to the kind receptionist and the hotel for not trying to cheat us. We’d found lots of offers online, but at other hotels in this city, people tried to rip us off, which seems pretty common here. It’s only 2 km from the airport and 6 km from the main parts of the city. We saw all the city’s main sights in one day. I highly recommend this place. Be careful with cheap hotels around here, it can be hard to find one that’s honest.

The room stank, WiFi didn’t work, and there was a cockroach in the drawer. There was no toilet paper either. The shower and toilet aren’t separated by glass, so water gets tracked into the room unless you shower last. The person next door came in very late and made noise until midnight, then started again at 4am. I couldn’t sleep. Worst service I’ve ever had, and I’ll never come back. There are plenty of other $***/night hotels around where you can actually sleep. I waited by the counter for 30 minutes after the 12pm check-in time, but they wouldn’t give me a key to the room I’d already paid for online. I left to eat and visit the aircraft museum, about a 5-minute walk from the airport, then returned at 2pm and finally got the room. The only upside is that if you land at terminal 3, it might be a few minutes’ shorter walk.
