Luxy Park Hotel and Apartments - Notre Dame

My booking was cancelled four days before the trip without a reason, and the email didn't explain what was happening. I managed to find somewhere else, but it cost more because I had to book at the last minute. Hotels in Ho Chi Minh City may be cheap, but they fill up fast, so don't risk it. I'd give zero stars if I could. Edit: Strange that you say you don't work with Expedia when you'd communicated with me through the app after I first booked.

The staff were friendly, the rooms clean and fairly spacious for the price, and our higher-floor room had a nice city view from one of its windows. They provide coffee and tea, hot water, and clean linen. We also had a tub, which was nice for relaxing with a bottle of wine. The hotel is centrally placed for getting around the city, but it's down a small lane where taxis can't reach it. Call just before you arrive so they can send a porter to the main road to help with your luggage.

The room was great, with a separate living area, microwave, fridge, TV, and basic cooking amenities. The bedroom had a comfortable double bed, and the attached bathroom was clean and spacious. I especially appreciated Tung and Keith at the front desk. I left my phone in a cab, and they contacted Grab and followed up themselves. I got it back the next morning. The service and the people were wonderful, and that's what I liked most about Vietnam.

At first, the hotel confirmed our reservation when we arrived and even gave us a room number. Since we were there before check-in time, they said the room would be ready in a few hours. But when we returned that afternoon, they suddenly said they'd never received our booking and blamed the earlier receptionist for not knowing how to read it. Agoda confirmed that the money had been deposited into the hotel's account. We did eventually get a refund, but this place may be cheap and still cost you a lot of time dealing with an unwanted mess. Don't waste your time here.
