Mai Guest House

Mai Guesthouse is especially well placed, less than 59m from the beer street, with other typical tourist spots about a 10-20 minute walk away. Though it’s right in the middle of the nightlife street, we had no late-night noise problems, even during our last 2 nights in a room facing that way. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the shower is decent. Remember to leave the boiler running if you want hot water. There’s no safe in the room and no elevator. The owner was kind and helpful, and really fun to talk to. A great place to stay when visiting Ho Chi Minh.

For tourists looking for comfort at a good price, Pham Ngu Lao is a great area, with clean, affordable hotels. For laundry, Dan’s Wash & Stay at 185/10 Pham Ngu Lao is a handy option. It’s self-service, open 24/7, and costs 30K per load.

The rooms are large and have the basics covered. During an unexpected period of sickness, our hosts did a lot to look after us, and we’re deeply grateful for their hospitality over these 4 nights. Thank you so much for making us feel protected at Mai Guest House.

The rooms are small and very simple, but the price is fair. The host was always kind, and the WiFi was excellent. Most attractions are nearby, around a 5-20 minute walk.
