Maison De Camille Boutique Hotel

Room 42 had dirty, moldy toilet walls and a sewage smell throughout. When I raised it with the male receptionist on duty, he said he couldn't do anything and told us to wait until the next morning for someone to deal with it. After I contacted the manager directly, a technician came by later, sprayed air freshener, and put in an exhaust fan in the WC. We had to keep all the windows and balcony doors open. Good thing we were only there one night. The room design and furnishings were nice, and the female staff member was polite and kind. Breakfast was average, though the woman at the counter was enthusiastic. We heard the other rooms were fine, but the problem in room 42 and how it was handled, especially by the male receptionist on duty on February 19th, left us dissatisfied.

We had a great stay in a clean, spacious, cosy room with tasteful decor. A few details could use attention: the painting inside its frame had come loose and looked messy, and the dark marks low on the shower walls made it seem like they hadn't been cleaned properly. The lobby could use fresh paint, and the small garden looked dusty and a bit untidy. If those little things were taken care of, it would be perfect.

The rooms were clean, but they could use better upkeep and more frequent paint jobs. The best part of our stay at Maison was the staff. Receptionist Florence and Selena, who is in charge of F&B, both gave their all to make sure guests had what they needed. Vietnamese hospitality at its best.

The room was comfortable, but fingernail clippings left in the bathtub made me seriously question the cleanliness. I had also asked for a morning call in advance, and no one called. I first stopped by in the morning before check-in to leave my luggage. I showed my passport and told staff I needed an extra blanket. At check-in that evening I had to repeat the request and show my passport again, so it seemed the information hadn't been recorded or passed along. Later, when I asked about the blanket again, housekeeping had finished for the day and the staff member on duty didn't know about it or help. The woman working the morning shift was polite, gentle, and helpful. The man on the night shift was noticeably less attentive and unhelpful when I raised problems. The room itself was comfortable, but the communication and coordination seriously affected my stay. I hope the hotel improves those basics.
