Mayfair Suites

We had a very pleasant five-night stay booked through Agoda. It’s conveniently placed, with many cafes and local spots within walking distance, plus a pharmacy and convenience store nearby. The concierge, security, and housekeeping were all great, and the rooms were well kept and suited our needs. I’d stay here again. By coincidence, we also booked a day tour to Cu Chi and Mekong Delta through the travel agency next door, SST Travel, via Klook. It was very convenient to show up early for pickup on the tour day 🥳

The unit was in new condition, the beds were comfortable, the amenities were in good shape, and the kitchen was well stocked. We had a really comfortable stay, and all the staff were great. There’s a washer and dryer just outside the room, but detergent isn’t provided. You can buy it at the front desk. The location is great, right by one end of Bui Vien Street, with loads of restaurants and cafes around. It’s a short Grab ride to the city centre, or about a 20-30 minute walk, and Nguyen Trai shopping is around 15 minutes on foot. The main downside was late-night noise from nightlife, especially the rooftop bar on the 10th floor.

Had a really enjoyable, short three-night stay. It was clean, affordable, and secure. Just two small things: the gap under the door is big enough that you can hear people in the hallway, and the shower is in a tub with flat tiles around it. Water ends up all over the bathroom floor. There is a drain, but stepping out means being careful not to slip.

The rooms are nice and clean, and the service and location were good. Still, the hotel was under construction throughout my week-long stay. Repairs on a lower floor caused a paint smell that took days to clear, and larger rooms on the 9th floor were noisy because of the bar on the 10th. I wouldn’t recommend booking one of those rooms.
