I work as a hotel receptionist, so I know how room charges are usually calculated. The 130k VND wasn't a big amount, and I often tip reception and room service staff at other hotels, but I wasn't satisfied with how MINH DUC HOTEL 303 Phan Xich Long charged me. I ask the hotel manager to review the morning-shift receptionist from October 4, 2018. Thanks. When I arrived, I was told the rate was 50k VND per hour, then 20k VND for each hour after that. I stayed for 3 hours and 10 minutes and was charged 130k VND. When I questioned it, the receptionist said the room was 60k VND per hour, then 20k VND per hour after that. How did they work out 130k VND for 3 hours and 10 minutes at that rate? I felt they were overcharging guests, and then they argued with me about it. I don't know how the hotel management runs things, but they allow this at reception. Isn't that a way of ripping customers off?
