There are good restaurants and coffee bars along the river nearby, and I hardly ever see other tourists when I stay here. I always feel safe walking back to the hotel. It’s far enough from the center of Ho Chi Minh City that I can really appreciate the culture, and I stay here every time I come to Vietnam from the UK. The hotel is friendly, clean and reasonably priced, and they do your laundry for free 😀. A hidden gem, all in all 👍

The owner is really friendly, and the room was nice. Great stay.

The location is good.

It felt secure: shoes are left outside, and the gate is usually closed. The place is quiet and clean, with windows and an elevator. The price is good too, 250k from 9 PM when rooms are available.

It feels more like staying in a private home than a hotel. You have to open and close the gate yourself, and if the owner is away, you’re left waiting for him to return and let you in. That was inconvenient. He is friendly, but the rooms disappointed me: the design is unpleasant, the air conditioning isn’t cold, and the enclosed bathroom seems suited to couples but awkward for a group of friends. The guesthouse mainly serves tour groups, so walk-in guests may not find it appealing. A single room costs 300k VND per night.
