Yellow House Saigon Hotel

The staff were helpful and spoke some English, and the elevator was useful with heavy suitcases because the stairs are so narrow. Most places are within walking distance, apart from the number-less motorcycles. We stayed for one week, five nights in room 102. It was a decent size, with a fridge, tea kettle, coffee, small waters, working AC and fan, and a comfortable bed. The blanket was a little small for two. The bathroom and shower were separate, with good hot water pressure and soap, a toothbrush, and a packet of shampoo. Room L02 was much smaller, barely enough space for our big luggage, and its bathroom was smaller too, though it had the same amenities as the first room. The first room had more space. Both rooms had a sewer smell that came and went. The hotel is quiet, tucked away on a small, narrow dead end street. I’d recommend it and stay again if we return to Saigon. The stairs.

We had a decent 6D5N stay, and it was worth the price. The family room with balcony was fairly spacious, and the alley kept out street noise. Staff were mostly helpful, and the hot water, aircon, and ceiling fan worked. There’s also a shared microwave. Getting picked up or dropped off by Grab in the alley wasn’t possible, so we had to drag our luggage through it. The room didn’t have the kitchen shown in the picture; that’s a shared facility on the ground floor. It could get a little noisy from nearby places or within the hotel. The single bed was more like a flat sofa with sheets.

It’s close to tourist attractions and surrounded by places serving authentic Vietnamese food, so it gives you a feel for traditional Saigon life. The accommodation is near the end of a small alley, close to the local market and not far from the walking street. Even in this lively area, it’s quiet and peaceful, great for relaxing. The room was very well kept, and cleanliness deserves full marks. The staff were friendly, kind, and extremely helpful. They really made me feel appreciated and looked after. Overall, it offers great.

The only thing I missed was a do not disturb sign. The rooms are very nice for the price, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s in a quiet alley, with several amenities just a short walk away.
