The condition of the property was nothing like the photos. It was in very poor shape, with cockroaches, spiders, and other insects throughout. Since covid, it seems to have been completely neglected. The owners and staff didn’t seem to care. They wouldn’t let me try another room or offer even a partial refund when I chose not to stay the night. They laughed at my request and told me to leave. After staying in hundreds of hotels and other accommodations across Southeast Asia over a long period, this was easily my worst experience. Please avoid this place.

I stayed twice in 2019 and plan to visit again in 2020. It’s a great hotel with clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. They can also arrange visa extensions, currency exchange, and a good range of local tours and trips outside HCMC. It’s in District 1, close to the bus station. From the main street, Pham Ngu Lao, you can catch buses to other regions and Cambodia, including for a border visa run or a trip to Phnom Penh. Nearby, there are plenty of restaurants and street food vendors, bars, Central Market, an outdoor market, ATMs, and Western Union at the nearby Ocean Bank. Bui Vien street, known for its nightlife, is close too. Great location.
