I chose this hotel in Korea town, Phu My Hung because the Korean manager told me I could check out late for free after a week-long stay, to fit my late flight. The location was good, and many guests were Korean; it was managed by Korean staff. But at checkout the Vietnamese young lady who owns the hotel appeared and insisted I pay extra. She was rude and arrogant while I tried to explain and complained about her Korean staff. When I got close to her during the explanation, she threatened to call the police. She should first check with the Korean staff, whose names I can't remember. She kept asking me for their names. To avoid further argument, I ended up paying for the entire extra day.

I had a great experience here!

The room looked clean and newer, but there was dust and the air conditioner was old, with only its frame remaining. I had asked for a non-smoking room, yet it still smelled of cigarette smoke when I checked in. The bathroom floor was greasy and slippery, and my feet felt sticky. Breakfast wasn't included, even though other hotels at this price included it.

I stay monthly in Phu My Hung, usually in a room on the third floor. It's about 8 pyeong, roughly 26.5 sq ft, quiet and good for sleeping, and costs 10 million dong a month. Cleaning is daily, but only happens every two days. I cleaned the air conditioner myself and caught a sore throat. There are mosquitoes, so I bought a mosquito swatter and caught 30 in two days. There are also lots of ants and you might see some roaches. The room has a fridge, bathroom, shower, and electric kettle. Netflix isn't available, but there's DramaNet, so movies and dramas help pass the time. I bought an electric mosquito swatter and it worked well, but during a visa run like in Thailand, it was confiscated at both the airport and the Vietnamese airport because of its battery.

They gave me a different room from the one I booked. I asked to switch, but they said there were no rooms available. The facilities are still old despite the claimed 2022 renovation, which seems to have been just a repaint, and the room is much like those at nearby local hotels. Korean hotels usually have breakfast, Korean TV, and Korean-language service, but this one has no breakfast and the TV doesn't work, though I don't watch it anyway. It seems like they focus more on massage than on the hotel. If you only need somewhere to sleep, a cheaper local hotel is probably a better choice.
