I booked a room for around $100 per night (2.6 million VND) based on other guests' reviews, expecting better. When I checked in, construction was underway, and the work noise carried through the hallway. My room was right beside the repair area. The cleaning was poor too: dust and dirt from the work were on the entryway floor, and other parts of the room hadn't been cleaned properly. I’ve attached photos showing its condition at check-in.

The location is handy for cafés and restaurants in Thảo Điền, and the lively area didn't disturb the peaceful feel inside. Nexus House Retreat Xuân Thủy is beautifully designed and clean. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it for a relaxing break.

I like the mix of vintage and modern in the room, and the staff were friendly. Whenever they saw me, they offered a glass of detox water, and they responded quickly when I needed help. I’d have preferred a nature view, but the MRT view was okay. Mosquitoes were the one downside, though I heard they were planning monthly pest control.
