Prostyle Hotel Ho Chi Minh

The breakfast buffet was a highlight, with lots of tasty local and international choices, and the friendly staff were always willing to help. There was plenty of Japanese-language signage and information around the premises, which made the stay comfortable and convenient for Japanese travelers. At night, outside noise came through even with the windows shut, making it hard to sleep. The entrance has stairs, so wheelchair users may need help getting in. There's no parking directly in front, which could be inconvenient if you're driving or carrying a lot of luggage.

The location is very good, and the pool area was nice and clean. The staff were helpful, although sometimes the doormen weren't there when we needed assistance. We stayed two nights, and the hotel needs major renovation. We could hear other guests from our room, and traffic came through the windows all day. The room felt damp, the pillows were heavily used and uncomfortable, and there was no hand soap in the toilet, so we used the shower gel. The executive room's toilet was so small only one person could fit at a time. Breakfast was limited, with few options. For this price range, the rooms aren't up to standard, so we wouldn't recommend staying here.

The lobby is lovely, with a quaint design and decoration, but the rooms felt as if they'd been left out of the planning. Mine smelled old and rundown, and the sound insulation was poor. I could hear noise from both the hallway and the street. The bathroom window wouldn't close properly, so people on bicycles advertising their goods through loudspeakers could be heard all night. I had been meaning to stay here for years because the lobby looked appealing, and I expected the rooms to be nice too. I was pretty disappointed. I wasn't impressed, and the next night I stayed at a much cheaper hotel down the street that felt a lot nicer.

The location was really good, close to attractions and a shopping mall, with plenty of restaurants ranging from high-end places to street food. The street itself was quiet. On arrival, staff welcomed us right away and helped with our luggage, and check-in was smooth. Everyone was approachable. The lobby has a fantastic concept and lots of places to lounge. Our room, toilet, and linen were clean, with enough space to open large suitcases, and it seemed newly renovated. Breakfast was wow, with a wide choice of food and healthy drinks. We loved it. The pool was clean, and luckily there weren't many other guests using it, so we could really enjoy it. We had a great stay at Prostyle Hotel and highly recommend it.
