Please avoid this apartment. I felt threatened and intimidated by Melow after leaving my review. The manager said they would call the police unless I took it down, so I shared screenshots to warn others about how the apartment handles this. My electricity bill for a 10 day stay came to 1.6 Mn vnd, nearly three times a fair market rate. I didn’t notice the rate in the contract, which was my mistake, but the service and support are extremely poor. The maid doesn’t wash the dishes, and the room cleaning was poor even after I complained more than once. I’m stuck in a lease and can’t do anything about it. I’ll definitely avoid it in the future.

It’s a cul de sac, so it takes about 8-9 minutes to walk to the main street in Thao Dien. Once you’re back, though, it’s super quiet, a big plus in honking central Vietnam, and the room is spacious enough for 2-3 guests. The staff are really friendly and willing to help with anything.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but with all the problems I don’t think I could stay here again. The road is a terrible location, full of mud, construction and heavy equipment, and it’s often closed after 11 pm. One night the rain was so heavy that nothing could be delivered. The building in the hotel’s advertising is shown in fake pictures. There was no hot shower water on cloudy days because they use solar heating. The mattress was so soft it hurt my lower back after a few nights, and I could barely walk.

The area is terrific, with restaurants and bars nearby and the river very close. There’s plenty of secure bike parking, the WiFi is super fast, and it’s fantastic value for this area. Manager Nam is great and does all he can to keep you happy.
