Good value, and the location is handy, close to Ben than market and the nightlife. There are restaurants, cafes, a 7-11, and even a laundry nearby. I only held back a full rating because the internet connection was an issue and there was no heater for the shower.

We stayed at Saigon Amigo Hotel and had a lovely time. Our room was very clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was fantastic but still really quiet. They even let us leave our luggage there when we returned a few days later for a layover. I'd happily stay again ❤️

For anyone staying longer, Pham Ngu Lao is really convenient. It's one of my favorite parts of Saigon, with budget hotels and street food all around. I found Dan’s Wash & Stay a few steps away at 185/10 Pham Ngu Lao. The small laundry shop is open 24/7 and fully self-service, so you can wash clothes whenever you like. It's only 30K per load, much cheaper than hotel laundry.

The alley is surrounded by good cafes and restaurants, and our room looked down onto the street. Bui Vien Street is just up the road if you want to go out, and the air-conditioning was a blessing. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was good, and everything was clean. Reception and housekeeping staff greeted us with a smile every day and were so nice. It may not be the best hotel you've ever booked, but I'd have no problem staying here again.

Handy spot, with restaurants downstairs and a 7/11 on the corner. The air conditioner blows right at your face, and there's no hot water. Those were the only things I didn't like.
