It’s a spacious, clean apartment with a lot of freedom, right by downtown for about what a dorm costs. I liked it as soon as I arrived. The place is quiet, with no rooms next door and no noise. I’d recommend it for solo travelers staying a while, and I’d like to stay longer next time.
The room had everything I needed, from a small kitchen counter and safe to a wardrobe, TV, fast Wi-Fi, and even a bathtub. For the price, it felt like really good value. It’s a cozy, peaceful spot that suited me as a solo traveler, and honestly one of the best places I’ve stayed in Ho Chi Minh City. It’s tucked into a little back alley, so finding it took a bit, but check-in was quick and easy, with no front desk hassle. I was put on the top floor, where there’s no elevator access, and the staff apologized. I didn’t mind, though, and got a better view. The building goes up to the 7th floor, while the elevator only reaches the 5th. I’m still young and full of energy, so the stairs were fine. A couple of small things could be better. There wasn’t an outlet by the bed, so I couldn’t charge my phone while lying down, and the space between the bathtub and toilet was tight enough that I had to sit sideways. Still, I found the stay comfortable and pleasant. Thanks for having me!
For the price, I can’t complain. My room, number 16, was the only room on the 7th floor, though the maids’ laundry room was up there too. It was a decent size with a small kitchen area, a bathroom with a shower over the tub, and a window with a nice view. The window let in a fair amount of ambient noise, but the AC worked well enough. The bed was a bit soft, the TV was just a regular one, and the Wi-Fi worked well on that floor. The lift only goes to the 5th, so I had to climb two flights of stairs. Check-in is a mix of in-person and remote: someone is there during standard hours, otherwise you check in remotely.
The atmosphere in the complex and along the streets nearby is quite amazing. The receptionist was wonderful, the owner was great, and they helped with whatever questions I had. They provide some of the finest service you could get from a host in Vietnam. I’d highly recommend staying here.
The location is great, with lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. When I needed an extra night, the staff arranged it for me, and the guest service was exceptional. I’ll come back when I have work there again. The name changed to Sen Vivian too. Update: 01/2025 The service is still exceptional, and I’ll be staying again for a 3rd time soon. The room was very clean.
