Sky Gem Hotel - Ben Thanh

The restaurant food was lovely, especially the sour soup, and the prices were more reasonable than I expected. We came back to Saigon for friends’ wedding and were glad to stay here again. The reception staff even remembered me from my last visit. For my birthday on October 4th, my husband had arranged a cake, gift, and flowers with the hotel ahead of time. The staff kindly helped him make a simple, sweet setup in our room. I accidentally left the bouquet when checking out, then contacted the hotel just to ask for my husband’s little card. They had kept the whole bouquet safe and sent it back to me. That thoughtfulness really touched me. Thank you for making our stay feel so warm and memorable.

The location was convenient, but there are better hotels nearby. We asked to move to a larger room and ended up on the 1st floor. It was noisy there, and the restaurant ventilation smell came straight into the room from below. I don't usually write hotel reviews, but the many positive comments made me want to share this. I can't see why it's rated 4 stars. By European standards, I'd give it 2 stars at most, and I can't think of a good reason to recommend it.

Breakfast was worth getting up early for, and the room felt spacious and spotless. The staff were friendly without making things overly formal. It was comfortable in a real way, not just fancy-looking. I'd happily stay again.

The city view from my room was stunning, and I especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet. My room was spotless, the staff were warm and attentive, and the facilities felt like a proper five-star stay. Highly recommend it.
