There’s plenty to do nearby, with two main markets, lots of shops and restaurants, and two parks with play areas for children, all within an easy walk. TAI is friendly and easy to reach on WhatsApp, and always easy to talk to. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. I’d recommend staying here.

Being right in District One was convenient, but finding the Honestay was a struggle. The entrance has no clear sign, and the ground floor is a spa. We were also given the wrong gate code and got stuck outside late at night. A friend we booked with was put in a separate building. The room was moldy and dirty, with weak shower pressure. The towels felt like fluffy blankets and didn’t work well. We were pushed to pay right away before we could even put our bags down. On the fifth floor there’s no elevator, and the room we got was dark, with no natural light. We were first shown room 501, which looked beautiful and had natural light, so we thought it was ours. Then he shut the door, said no, and took us to a grim, dirty room in the corner. It was a huge disappointment. We booked based on the first photos on booking.com, but what we got was the complete opposite. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

It felt like being at home, and the owner was kind. The room had everything we needed. When we asked for another blanket, they brought one without hesitation. I’d recommend this place to tourists who want that home-like feeling.

Room 201 was in a convenient spot and a good option for budget travelers. The room didn’t quite match the photos, though: no full-length mirror, damp floors when we checked in, and weak shower pressure. There were mosquitoes, and some piping was exposed, which made the room feel less cared for. A few small fixes and more up-to-date photos would help future guests.
