This was the first hotel we stayed at, and I loved it. We could walk to almost all the attractions and food places from its very good location. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the staff were courteous and efficient. Definitely would recommend 👌

The location is excellent and the price-value ratio felt perfect. Staff were super friendly and supportive. The rooms are clean and don’t smell bad, though they’re not especially modern. I’d book here again.

Big rooms, good location, and a nostalgic feel, with good value for money. But there were lots of mosquitoes, and I got a fever and body aches. Bring your own mosquito repellent spray, lemongrass oil, towel, toiletries, coffee, and tea.

I don’t recommend staying here based on how the room service lady treated my aunt and family. I’ve lived in South Central my whole life and have never experienced this level of disrespect and horrible service, especially at District 1 Hotel, when most hotels here are A1. Everything had been fine until we came back last night. There are three construction zones in front of the hotel, and you have to walk through them to get there, stepping on cement dust. I didn’t expect that one thing to change my whole experience. In the morning, as we were returning the room, the room service lady burst in yelling. She scared my aunt and pressured us, acting as if the rug was badly damaged. I know it was a bit dusty from the cement, but she could have vacuumed it. Instead, she gave us a lot of attitude and called everyone she could in front of us to make the rug seem much worse. She also called the owner, Trang. The owner wasn’t stressing or yelling, so why was she? I smacked the floor a couple of times and the dust came right off. All that hassle over 200,000 vnd? We planned to tip more, but her attitude changed that. I understand they may make more money from little things like this, but they lost four customers and two rooms in future bookings. Maybe that’s not much, but it shows in the Google reviews, where there are lots of complaints, and why this place has the lowest rating on the same street.

The construction in front of the hotel set the tone: there were three work zones we had to walk through to reach the entrance, stepping in cement dust each time. I thought it was a minor thing, but the next morning, when we tried to check out, the room service lady barged into the room yelling and scared my aunt. She accused us of damaging the rug and was rude and confrontational. There was some cement dust on it, but it could easily have been vacuumed. Instead, she made a scene and called everyone she could to make it look worse. She even called the owner, Trang, who wasn’t upset, so I don’t know why the staff member acted like it was a disaster. I tapped the rug a couple of times and the dust came right off. All that drama over 200,000 VND? We planned to leave a bigger tip, but her attitude put a stop to that. They lost four future customers and two rooms of bookings over it. Maybe that doesn’t seem like much, but the Google reviews have lots of complaints, and the hotel has the lowest rating on the street. I was born and raised in South Central and have never experienced such disrespectful, terrible service in my life, especially from District 1 Hotel, where most hotels are usually A1. Based on the way she treated my aunt and family, I absolutely don’t recommend this place. Let me know if you want a version that’s more formal, humorous, or savage, happy to tweak it to your style.
