Thinh Vuong Hotel

I stayed here two months ago. The staff were very friendly and would try to help when needed, even though their English wasn't very good. It's in the city center and the price is reasonable, only 300,000 a day for two people, about $13. At that low price, I don't think you can expect the same as from a big hotel. They also kept my luggage for a week while I was traveling and didn't charge me. The hotel isn't as bad as some other reviews say.

I came on December 1 during peak season, when hotel rooms were expensive, and this was the only place with a room available. For 300,000 VND to 400,000 VND, I guess you can't expect much, but I wouldn't stay again if I had a choice. I only lasted one night before moving to another hotel the next day. Glad to leave. There was no hair dryer, which was a big problem for my wife, and no free drinking water. The hotel has a solar heater, not a heater. The Wi-Fi connected, but there was no network, so they might as well not have provided it.

It's fairly close to tourist attractions, generally clean, and the hot water and air conditioning worked. But nearly everything felt old: the elevator, bathrooms, TV, and windows. The windows wouldn't close, so street noise came through. The bathroom had old facilities and no toiletries, the TV was a small old CRT, and the pillows were flat.

The room was small but clean, and the location is close to the center. Breakfast was okay, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
