The young man at reception was polite, friendly, and accommodating. But the room itself was dirty, and even an inexpensive night should come with a clean room. There was trash beside the bed, long hairs all over the floor, and ants. It looked like the floor hadn’t been cleaned since the previous guests. I wiped the bedside table with a damp cloth and found grease and food residue still stuck to it. At least the bed had fresh sheets; otherwise, I would have changed hotels right away. The booking site showed a beautifully decorated room, but the room I got was what I photographed. It also wasn’t very quiet: dogs barked outside, and the air conditioner right outside my room kept humming. Bring earplugs.

Parking was available, and getting to nearby places was easy. I also thought the price was very good for what you get. Inside, my room was modern, clean, and had what I needed, with a comfortable bed and a quiet feel that made it easy to sleep. The staff welcomed me warmly and were helpful throughout. I had a lovely stay at Venus Secret Hotel and would happily return for another short or long visit.

New facilities, good soundproofing, and a fresh-smelling, very clean room. The staff were friendly and the rates reasonable.
