Hoang Minh Mountainside Villa

The overwater balcony bungalows are worth paying extra for. We felt so welcome, and this was the most relaxing place I’ve stayed. The staff, atmosphere, and location were all lovely, especially for the value and price. Breakfast and the restaurant were great to have. Some of the fried dishes were a bit too greasy for us, though. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The hotel itself was excellent, with lovely cottages and beautiful, spacious grounds. There was a mango tree above our cottage, though, and fruit kept dropping onto the roof at night with a loud, frightening bang. We woke up twice in a panic before realizing in the morning that it was mangoes. It would have helped if the staff had warned us. Breakfast was disappointing: very little choice, most of it cold, and served on plates instead of in heated metal trays. There also weren’t enough vegetables or fruit. The bathroom water stream was extremely weak, so washing was possible but difficult. We stayed on February 22, 2026.

Getting to town and the attractions was convenient, but the place itself felt so peaceful and relaxing. The staff were genuinely friendly and made the stay feel special. Breakfast was included and had plenty of options; the restaurant was affordable too, though meals after breakfast weren’t included. We rented a motorbike there, and they also have bicycles. Grab was fairly easy to get. This is my favorite place I’ve stayed, and I can’t wait to return.

I honestly didn’t want to leave. The villa is gorgeous, and coming back to its quiet setting after a cheap, quick Grab ride to town was such a treat. Grab was never more than 4-5 minutes away, even though the place feels remote. The staff went out of their way for us, helping plan trips, book a tour, sort out meals, and even bring us a space heater when it got cold. Best stay in Vietnam so far.
