Serena Tam Coc Hotel & Villa

The hotel was modern, quiet, and peaceful, and we often felt like we were the only guests there. It made for a comfortable, relaxing stay, despite some communication snags. Check-in felt a bit odd: reception took our passports and showed us to the room without telling us breakfast or checkout times, so we had to find that out ourselves. Serena Villa is quite far from Tam Coc Centre, around a 5-8 minute Grab ride or about a 20-minute walk if you’ll be spending most of your time there. We only found out from the room information sheet that bike rental was 50k a day. Rooms also weren’t cleaned daily, and we later learned we had to request cleaning at reception.

Serena came through for me when my sleeper bus dropped me off in the middle of the night, much earlier than expected. She found me a room straight away and let me check out late. The facilities are amazing for the price.

I stayed in a dorm and slept really comfortably. The sheets were clean, the beds had a light and socket, and there was storage underneath as well as lockers. The place also has a pool, but the weather wasn’t good for swimming. It had been built a month ago, and the showers and toilets were brand new. Bikes for riding around the area were pretty new too. The staff were so pleasant, and the reception team spoke good English and could translate to the boss. The owner looked out for me the whole time, offering a hair dryer, a free poncho for the rain, and putting my things in a bag to keep them dry. She even served me oranges before I left. I had a wonderful time, no issues at all, and highly recommend it.

I had a comfortable stay in the dorm. The beds offered lots of privacy with their curtains, plus plenty of storage. It’s a lovely new hotel and hostel, just a short walk from town, with free bikes available too. Would recommend!
