Tam Coc Cat Luong Homestay

Our family arrived very early, and they let us check in early for free. The room was really clean and smelled nice. We stayed for 3 nights, and the beautiful, spacious grounds were a big part of why we chose this place. A very good place to stay.

The huts are run-down and smell bad, and there’s cracked glass in a door. The place has a depressing feel, and you can see the huge concrete factory next door. They’re doing what they can with what they have, but the photos are a lie. The information is completely misleading. Worst place in the whole area.

The bungalows are clean, modern, and comfortable, with about 20m between them, so you get privacy. There are lovely views all around the property, mango and jackfruit trees, animals, and fish that guests and locals can fish for. The abandoned factory wasn’t an issue for us: there was no noise, and the bungalows and walkways face the other way. On Saturday they had authentic Vietnamese karaoke, which I really enjoyed from the chair outside my bungalow. The staff didn’t speak the same language as me, but they were always happy to help using Google Translate. 10/10.

The staff were kind and ready to help with anything we needed, and we felt comfortable the whole time. English was a bit of a challenge, since only one of the girls spoke it, but they still helped us with everything. The rooms are modern and clean, and the property is lovely and away from the village noise. They offer motorbike and bicycle rentals, plus several breakfast choices. Tam Coc village is only a 15-minute walk, not 30 minutes as Google Maps says.
