Tam Coc Palm House

Getting into the centre of Tam Coc was easy with the bicycles for rent. The homestay is gorgeous and run by a lovely family, with comfy beds in the nice rooms. Breakfast was included and really good, especially the passion fruit jam. It was nice to be somewhere quieter, away from the town’s hustle and bustle.

We had a great time here, and the whole family was so lovely. Our beds were comfortable, the rooms very clean, and they even gave us a map showing the best things to do in the area. We rented scooters for three days. Since we arrived very early in the morning, they gave us towels so we could shower and offered breakfast before check-in. When we left, they booked our sleeper bus and dropped us at the bus stop. We’d highly recommend staying here and will definitely come back next time!

I’d definitely recommend this place if you want a properly chill oasis. There’s a quiet garden, the rooms are comfortable and super clean, and the hosts are polite, friendly, and very helpful.😇

We liked the simple but tasty breakfast, and there were plenty of tour booking options. After comparing choices, we’d recommend arranging the private car to Cuc Phong through the hotel. The family was lively and sweet, but this didn’t feel like a five-star stay for us. We were affected by a booking error and had to spend one of our three nights at the owner's sister's hotel across the river. Even once we reached Palm House for the last two nights, it often felt like the hosts weren’t available. The front desk was usually empty, and nobody told us when the town had a full-day power and water outage. We’d confirmed our early checkout the day before, but the host only woke up to take our keys and payment right when we had to leave for the train. It felt like a lovely, homey business where we were the rare customers who got left by the wayside. Palm House is beautiful and secluded without being far from the town center. We had a great day on rented bikes, which cost 50k, and walked to our favorite places to eat in and around town. We always got a quiet night's sleep.
