Thanh Dat Hotel

The bed, with its memory foam, was probably the most comfortable one we had in four months of traveling around Asia. Breakfast was generous and tasty, and the whole family was friendly. The manager speaks very good English and pays close attention to whether you have what you need, from free water and tea and local information to enough towels and toilet paper, plus bikes or motorbikes. The best hotel in Ninh Binh, and I'd recommend it to everyone!

The rooftop area could make a beautiful spot for a sunset bar. We had excellent help from everyone, especially the lovely woman at the desk. They let us check in early and offered tea and snacks. When the lights on my rental bike stopped working, they took it to the mechanic right away and had it back in ten minutes, instead of swapping it for another bike with no petrol. Thanks so much for everything. We'd love to come back, and I'd definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

The hotel was nice and clean, and doing laundry there was a treat. It smelled like heaven compared with other places I've used while traveling. But what really shocked me was how kind the host was. The manager helped us with practically everything, including figuring out what to do nearby and getting our bikes onto the train. Her husband drove us to the station, then came all the way back just to tell us the train was late. I'd never seen anything like it. A solid 6/5.

The owners were very friendly and accommodating. It's clean, though there's not much to write home about otherwise, and drinks and similar things were reasonably priced. With a motorbike, either your own or one rented from the hotel, you can get wherever you want. Reaching the main parts of town on foot would be a bit of a hike.
