Trang An Lamia Bungalow

We arrived after dark and woke up to an amazing view from our triangle mountain view room. The location is beautiful and serene, and the price was extremely good value. The bed was comfortable, and although the room didn’t have a private bathroom, the shared facilities were clean and quiet. The staff were attentive and friendly, spoke good English, and helped arrange taxis and tours. The food was excellent. It was such a tranquil place that we’d love to return and stay longer.

Ninh Binh still feels unreal to me, and this place captures the surrounding mountain forest so well. The rooms are beautiful and feel naturally integrated into the landscape. The staff were almost too helpful, ready to do just about anything to make the stay better. They knew the area and gave us a thorough self-guided route by bicycle or scooter, about 25km. Great food and amenities, a relaxed atmosphere, and a guard dog doing its job. An incredible experience all round. I’d recommend it 100%.

We left a piece of our hearts at Lamia. It fits into the natural surroundings without disturbing them, and the team made us feel so welcome. Everyone was kind and looked after us. Even with nature all around, the place was kept very clean and tidy. I can only recommend it, and hope it stays this way forever. Thank you so much for everything.

We stayed three nights at Trang An and loved it. It was our first environmentally conscious stay, with rice straws and refillable water instead of plastic. The room was the cleanest, and had a little hangout loft upstairs. The puppies were hard to forget, too! Hot water ran out pretty quickly, but came back after about 15 minutes. You can rent a scooter for a good price, and they have tasty food in the morning and evening.
