Trang An Peaceful Retreat

The location was perfect for experiencing ninh binh, and the owners were genuinely friendly and clearly cared about making our stay good. We had free bikes and very affordable motorbikes, plus laundry service and drinks. The room had an incredible view, good wifi, a comfortable bed, AC and a fan, and a good shower with its own hot water tank. It felt secure too, with a physical lock on the inside. I’ll recommend it to any friend visiting Vietnam.

The family running this place, husband and wife, took really good care of us. They’re kind and friendly, and can help with activities, transport, affordable motorbike hire, and free bicycles. Breakfast had an incredible range of meals and was served from 7am to 10am. We booked through Agoda and had an amazing stay with my girlfriend. Our hut-style room had a very large, comfortable bed, AC for hot and cold days, and a luxurious bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub. There was a heating unit for the shower, plus a light-up mirror above the wash sink. You get a lot of services here. There are plenty of places to eat on the main strip within 3km, while Tam Coc has more great eateries and shops, at least a 10-15minute Grab ride away. Hang mua eco garden is a must stay for a peaceful, slightly more traditional stay.

We wanted somewhere peaceful away from tam coc and were very happy with this little bungalow over the water. It was lovely to wake up to the limestone mountains through the huge windows. The rooms were large and aesthetic, with our own balcony. It’s a 15-minute bike ride to tam coc, though there’s food just a couple of minutes away. The free bikes were handy, and breakfast was freshly made to order, with fruit and coffee. We also got unlimited water bottles. The couple running the place were so friendly and even gave us a free headlight for night biking. My favourite part was the kittens. Two of the three loved being petted and would sit on your lap if you wanted them to.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Hang Mua Eco Garden. Breakfast in our room, with the lovely view and comfort, was a bonus, and when we left the host gave us a small snack and drinks for the trip back to Hanoi. She was so warm and welcoming, waiting for us to return at night and checking in about our day. She speaks little English but still tries to chat, or uses Google Translate. We received excellent hospitality throughout.
