The balcony room was worth it, and I’d happily stay here again for the location and the friendly front desk team. We were close to the Old Town, but the pool was a nice place to sit even though the water felt too cold for a proper swim. There’s no lift, though the staircase is wide, and there were sockets on both sides of the bed. We didn’t try the Wi-Fi. The staff arranged our tickets for the night show and got our laundry back the same day for a low price. Breakfast was very basic. We only ate there once and picked up snacks ourselves the other mornings.

This place really delivers what it promises, which felt unusual during our time in Vietnam. We spent three nights in a pretty, airy room at the back of the building. It was quiet, and the bed was soft. The simple breakfast is included, and they don’t keep adding little charges for extras. You’re near the action without being right in the middle of it, and there’s a great minimart nearby with fresh fruit. The owners, like so many Vietnamese people, were eager to help whenever we needed anything.

The reception team were exceptionally kind and made us feel looked after. It’s a good base for exploring Hoi An, and you can rent bicycles here. Breakfast included pancakes, eggs, or noodles cooked to order, along with fresh passionfruit and watermelon. Our room was comfortable and nicely styled, though the fridge could probably use an update. A pleasant stay. I think the listing may also appear as Library an Pho hotel on booking.com.

We loved having the rooftop pool to cool off in after wandering around the old town, just a short walk away. The hotel’s street itself was calm, and there were some great restaurants close by. Our windowless room seemed questionable at first, but the air conditioning worked well and little glass blocks in the ceiling let in some light. It was clean and the bed was so cozy. Everyone was welcoming, and we could do laundry there too. The books all around the hotel were a fun bonus. We’d gladly recommend staying here.
