An Nam Huế Homestay & Restaurant

We felt lucky to have the place to ourselves that night. It was like a little piece of heaven, with a lovely quiet garden, a really comfortable room, a great breakfast, and everything clean. The hosts were all so friendly and kept checking that we were comfortable and everything was alright. They were smiling all the time, which was lovely.

An Nam Boutique has lovely surroundings and a peaceful feel, but I didn’t feel the place took guest safety seriously. I stayed there with my family, and one of the most alarming problems happened to us: the key we were given seemed to open every room. Without individual keys or electronic security, guests’ privacy and rooms could be at risk of unauthorized access. There were no surveillance cameras around the property, which could make it hard to identify anyone or provide evidence after an incident or emergency. I was also concerned that there was no security personnel to monitor the grounds or respond if something happened, leaving guests to handle disturbances or security problems themselves. Despite its charm, I found these gaps in safety and security serious. Potential guests should consider them before choosing to stay.

The garden is beautiful, and the location is just right for visiting temples and other sights. Our room was new and very clean, and the staff were very friendly. Thanks for having us. We’ll come back in the future!

We toured the property but didn’t stay there. The grounds, cafe and rooms are beautiful, and it’s easy to imagine being in an ancient garden compound. At night the atmosphere feels quite magical. It’s just outside Hue’s inner city, not far from downtown attractions and close to the beautiful Lebadang memory space, which is outstanding. We’d definitely consider this Homestay next time we visit Hue.
