Kha Hotel - Hostel

The lady at reception was incredibly friendly and helpful. Her customer service was up to the standard of a five-star hotel. It’s a very reasonable price for what you get. The walking street outside is noisy, but inside the hotel and the rooms are still pretty quiet. I’ll come back when I’m in Hue.

The people working here were genuinely lovely and went out of their way to help. That’s the only reason I didn’t switch places. The hostel itself was disgusting: mold all over, and it looked like nobody had cleaned in weeks. The sheets and pillowcase clearly hadn’t been washed. I’m usually fine flopping down in the dirt for a nap, so it takes a lot to gross me out, but this place did. I’d rather have slept outside, away from the mold and whatever was on the bedding. Please don’t stay unless you have no other option.

The location is handy, right on the night pedestrian street with cafes and restaurants close by. Staff were really friendly and tried to help, so the service was five stars for me. The rooms were another story: humid, musty, worn down, and not cleaned as well as they should be. Maybe that’s because it’s an old building. The air conditioning was weak, which made the humidity worse. Fine for a night or two if you just need somewhere to sleep.

Breakfast was tasty, and we went for the Vietnamese option. There was enough to keep us going for several hours. Our room was spacious and everything worked, though we could hear some noise from the walking street. It didn’t stop us sleeping. The employees were friendly and helpful, and the place is near one of the minibuses to Da Nang.
